___For the very first time in United's storied history, veterans Fisher, McKay, Birdsall, Metzger and Fiedler led their team to back-to-back championships in the same season as Huntington United beat N.H. Attack 6-2 in the Winter 2 Championship game. Huntington University bound Steven McKay, who ended the night is 2 goals to bring his career total to 104, was pleased with the result. "It was a great finish to a great season. We controlled the pace of the game and created opportunities to find net. Even with all of the horrible officiating, we managed to end the night as champions."
___Challenged by the poor officiating from the start, United keep their cool and played their game. "Our guys play tough; they don't back down from anyone. I was proud of our guys for keeping it together. It could have been a very frustrating game, but they laughed it off," commented Coach Mills after the game.
___Under the leadership of Coach Mills, Huntington United has earned a 65-12-5 record through 9 sessions (4 years), 559 goals, 279 assists and 1,397 team points.
___"It is funny to think back to when this team started. Even before I took the helm. It has been fun to watch these guys grow over the years and to see new players enter the mix.," commented Coach Mills. "Who knows what will be next for Huntington United. We certainly have a lot of talented youth on this team that can take us to the next level, we'll just have to wait and see."
